Introduction
For your foal to be officially recognized as a Tinker and receive a certified pedigree, it must be registered in the European Studbook (NSvT branch)
STEP 1: Checking Pedigree Eligibility
Before submitting your documents, please ensure that:
- The foal's sire holds an official NSvT/PSHT breeding license
- The foal's dam is registered in the NSvT/PSHT studbook
- You have an NSvT/PSHT breeding certificate issued by the stallion's owner.
If the breeding certificate was issued by another studbook, the stallion's owner must pay the following fees:
STEP 2: Notification of the foal's birth
The PSHT must be notified within the first 4 weeks of the foal's birth.
Please complete the pink copy of the breeding certificate at the bottom (when and where it was born, name, age, coat color) and mail the original to: PSHT, Marczów 56A, 59-610 Wleń.
This allows for the date of birth and origin to be recorded in the database.
STEP 3: Microchipping and Foal Description (Identification)
To issue a passport, a veterinarian must be called to perform official identification:
- Microchip Implantation: The veterinarian inserts the chip and pastes the barcode into the identification form.
- Graphic Description: The veterinarian completes a contour drawing of the foal, highlighting all white markings, distinguishing marks, and whorls.
- Confirmation: The veterinarian must sign and stamp the description form.
STEP 4: Submit documents to the association
Collect all documents and mail them to the studbook office: (PSHT, Marczów 56 A, 59-610 Wleń)
The original description, along with the chart and chip number, must be completed on the registration form.
Information on email: photos of the foal from the left, right, front, and back, a scan of the dam's passport, and the PSSM1 test results of the dam or foal.
Useful information for owners:
Deadlines: Submitting documents after the foal is 9 months old involves significantly higher fees.
Result: After a few weeks (or months, depending on the season), you will receive an official horse passport by mail, which is the most important identity document for the animal's entire life.
